Making money on line is easy for some people and difficult for others. There are a few key ingredients that separate the winners for the rest.  95% of new Internet Marketers give up and go back to the drudgery of working for someone else.  Be in the top 5% and be proud of your success by following these 10 easy tips.
1) Work hard.  There is no secret or magic button.  Sure watch the secret and use the law of attraction because it is important to believe in yourself.  Listen to the expert Rich Schefren and he will say “The Secret and hard work equals success”
2) Do not get distracted.  Rich will tell you to turn off your phone and close email and social networks and set your kitchen timer for 50 minutes of undistracted work.  Rich also will tell you it takes 2 hours to get in a groove in your work.  This means that if you get distracted every 20 minutes you basically will not get any work done.
3) Take time to think.  Many people go day to day without really spending time seriously thinking.  One way to help is to change your environment, go to Starbucks or the park and spend a few hours thinking and writing down your ideas.
4) Keep a journal.  Each day write in your journal what worked and how you can improve the results or process you worked on that day.  Just about every top marketing guru keeps a journal like this.
5) Empty your brain of stuff you need to do to make room for new ideas.  If you have a broken door knob to your office every time you see it it will use brain cells to remember to fix it.  Take the time to fix all the little annoying things that you see every day or are on your mind.  It really frees up brain cells to think about bigger and better things.
6) Create a plan and follow it through to monetization.  So many self employed people have trouble to stay focused on one project at a time.  Multitasking is bad.  It should be called limited attention because when you allow your brain to think of more than one thing at a time, it is not working full strength for you on the one important thing that needs to get done.  “Have a clear vision of what you are trying to create” quote from Cash in a Flash Book
7) Prioritize your activities.  Always do the thing that will result in making money instead of checking email, sending a tweet or updating Facebook, try finishing that special report needed to acquire prospects.  One good way to do this is to write down 3 things you will accomplish each morning.  If you are not sure what project to do, assign probabilities and weights to the time and revenue and pick the one that best meets your needs of low time or high money.  Read more about making a decision.
8) Be grateful.  Each day write down 10 things you are grateful for because being grateful is very powerful to get your mind thinking the right way.
9) Take action and revise later.  Perfection is not as important as timing.  Get it done so it is acceptable and get it done sooner rather than later.  Think 80% solution rather than perfection.
10) Create a sales funnel.  Start with finding prospects, capturing email addresses, offering something of value like $50, and then offering ability to learn more with another product or up sell.  People do not like to be sold to.  People do like to buy things.  Only talk benefits and not features and find the emotional need that can be filled with your product.  Promise a big benefit or or delivery from pain or problems.  Provide results in advance, give away your best stuff to help you prospects along the way to the solution.  Then you can offer a product or solution to get the rest of the way to the destination.

Great book - Highly Recommended

Wow! “Cash in a Flash” Make Money in Slow Times is a great book. Robert G. Allen and Mark Victor Hansen have captured the essence of how to modify your thought process to enable you future desires to become reality. I am not a book reader and prefer videos for my learning, yet occasionally I read a book all the way through. Cash in a Flash will be one of those books that I actually read all the way through,

Why is it so great? The main reason is that once you start to read it, you get excited and start to believe in yourself. I am only on page 37 and felt compelled to share the excitement with you by writing this blog post.

I have been to Frank Kern’s Mass control Seminar and studdied the material in the class and love every bit of the information and learnings. It is a really good home study course to help you connect with your customer and even how to make money. Cash in a flash has some of the same flavor as Mass Control in that it talks about visualization of a future event like Frank’s most popular DVD ever, “Core Influence”. If you get a chance I encourage you to watch it as it is really good.

I just wanted to share with you the excitement I am feeling now reading Cash in a Flash and encourage you to go buy and read the book. Mass Control costs $2,000 and is worth it. Cash in a flash only costs less than $20.00 and I believe it can change my life by changing the way I look at things and what I do with my time. Bayes Decision rule is a easy to use formula to help you make a decision.
For a wide category of problems under conditions of uncertainty, Bayes Decision Rule is a simple way to look at things differently.

Imagine you have three big ideas
and they are all really great ideas with large potential for payoff.
Let’s say you are also short of time and cash.
Lets look at the situation:
A = high cost, high time and huge payout
B= no cost, medium time, large payout
C= low cost, medium time, and medium payout

Lets assign weight to the variables by assigning a simple favorite #1 to the least favorite #3
A = high cost (3), high time (3), and huge payout (1)
B= no cost (1), medium time (2), large payout (2)
C= low cost (2), medium time (2), and medium payout (3)

Now let’s add the numbers for each option.
A = 3+3+1 = 7
B = 1+2+2 = 5
C = 2+2+3 = 7

In this example since we rank ordered with one the best, we will choose option “B” since it has the lowest number.
The results change depending on what is most important to you and how you rank each item.

Here are the basic steps:
1) List the alternatives.
2) List the possible variables like time, cost, money, future event or state.
3) Assign probabilities to the variables.
4) For each alternative determine the net result or payoff.
5) Evaluate each alternative by computing an expected return
6) Select the alternative with the highest expected return based on your weighting of the probabilities of the variables.

Its interesting to wonder what to do today, yet most of us follow our habbits or daily routine.
Many people can go years without really thinking that much about what they are doing besides following instructions or doing what they always do.   If we take a few minutes each morning to list 10 things we are grateful for and three things you want to accomplish that day, you will be surprised how much your life can change.

Being grateful is a very powerful tool.  By making a list of what we are grateful for each day helps put our brain in a new perspective.  This new perspective helps frame our activities and also helps prevent self pity and and depression.  Each day has the opportunity to bring us a new exciting experience that will change our life forever.  When we worry about past actions or try to change our past, it takes away brain cells that could be used to help us achieve new achievements.

I imagine a lot of people want to be Internet Marketers. I have wanted to be web savvy since the first Z80 computer was introduced. I went to see it at Macy’s. Later I bought a Vic 20 and tasted programming in basic. Then moved up to a HP 150 touch screen and learned about bulletin boards.
Then started building PCs for fun and to learn more about them.
Along the way about the time I found out about google and Chris Carpenter and Tim Knox, I knew I really really really wanted to become a internet millionaire and make oodles of cash while sipping drinks on the beach in a tropic island. I danced around the idea for over a decade. See I bought Clay Franklin.com in 1994 and sat on it until 2005 when I started to take classes in Internet Marketing and building web sites and databases with Dream Weaver CS3 and photoshop. I even took Music fundamentals to really speed up my brains ability to learn new information.

So here I sit learning and planning. Ideas buzzing. Businesses building in momentum in my subconscious.

If you ever felt like this, I encourage you to follow your dream and you will be happier. A lot of people will tell you, lots of negative things about your idea. Remember the old days when relatives told children “shut up you are thinking bigger than your britches”. Do not let other close family members or friends discourage you from finding your success in life. Success is doing what you want to do to please your inner self. Success is not what someone else would like to see you doing to be successful in their mind.
