SMS mobile marketing is huge in the UK and has been for some time. However, it is generally the larger companies making use of it. We should investigate it for our own company to see how we can capitalise on the opportunity. Hopefully there are similar no-cost-to-start options over here.

Good luck with the new venture!

Nice blog! These new method of mobile marketing is great for large business and well developed marketing strategies. Hope it helps also on small businesses. Thanks for sharing.

I believe Mobile Media Marketing is what will save small business from the current recession. Imagine being able to send a text message when business is slow to bring customers in for a special sale or deal.

      text 74852 to 90210.
You will get a text message back from iZigg 90210 about a house for sale with a link to more details about the house. I believe mobile media is the most effective way to get real estate details to prospective clients mobile phones. The best part is that the message stays in the clients phone instead of a flyer that gets put in recycling as soon as the client gets home.

I like the idea of using mobile media for my business. I was thinking of having a Text “Message” to 90210 on my Truck so I can get more leads while driving around. I especially like the idea of using a easy to remember short code like 90210. Find out more about me at San Jose Swimming Pool Service

Mobile Marketing is starting to take grounds in different states. I agree that spam is avoided in this type of marketing. I also prefer mobile marketing because I get to be updated right away with “what’s new” in town. I don’t have to use my computer and check on the internet.

    • Clay Franklin October 14, 2010, 12:29 am

Chris, I totally agree. I really appreciate getting a text message reminder to attend a webinar or teleconference I want to attend. Sure I can set the alarm on my phone after I go to the trouble to add the item to my calendar. For the guys that text me from iZigg, I save time because I know they will remind me and provide the link to the call or webinar. I love texting too! It is how my family communicates all day long.

with mobile marketing you can do business anywhere and ith mobile phone penetration near 90 percent for U.S. adults, conversations are possible all the time with everyone. really cool!

    • Clay Franklin November 19, 2010, 12:30 am

Thank you for stopping by Leonah,
I agree that mobile marketing is hot!
Tonight I was at a Sony Internet TV Social Media Event at the local Sony Store.
They gave away a Sony Internet TV.
We got extra raffle tickets when we checked in on four square to the event.
Mobile smart phones are everywhere and used correctly provide a great marketing opportunity.
I was thinking if they had everyone text in a keyword to iZigg 90210, they could have captured everyone that showed up’s phone number to do additional marketing and promotions with SMS mobile text marketing.
I am following up with the marketing director to see about signing up Sony.
Shoot you can start for less than $100 and that’s petty cash for most companies.
Be sure to text CF to 90210 and see how I am capturing phone numbers and promoting the service. Then be sure to check out the videos at iZigg Mobile Media

I never yet use mobile marketing in my marketing strategies since i don’t have enough knowledge of this marketing strategy and I’m quite hesitant to have it applied in my business. I guess I still need to do some research about this new strategy. But anyway, I’m so glad for this new learning. Thanks for sharing your insights. Keep going!

More people should embrace this now because it is getting more popular each day. It is interesting to see how phones are now being used in such important ways. Who knows what the future holds? It could be much better than this.
