To my mind, Google Keword generator is definitely the best keyword tool, the only one that let you discover niche keywords.

Great point, I did not include that aspect in the article. Thank you for bringing it up here for my readers.
Misspellings are especially great for words that many people have trouble spelling.
I am educated with a college degree and still misspell words all the time. Thank goodness for spell check in Firefox or I would really be in trouble.

I agree with you and there are many aspects of Market Samurai I have not used yet.
I just found the publish content feature and it works great.
I do need to study up to maximize the benefits of Market Samurai. I enjoy the videos market Samurai publishes and learn something every time I watch one.

Thank you for stopping by again. I agree that the free wordtracker tool is pretty good and easy to use. I found also found that when I started to use Market Samurai, I was able to narrow in on better long tail keywords and get more traffic coming to read the article. It does put on some pressure on us to have great articles to please all the new visitors.

I really enjoy Google keyword tool also because of the trends and all the other great information provided. What I especially like in Market Samurai is that it pulls information from Google keyword tool and other sources on the internet all in one place. It is not necessary, it just saves time. I also like the ability with Market Samurai to automatically find affiliate products to post automatically on your blog. You can see an example over at my laptop comparison site I am able to create blog posts in market Samurai and it will FTP to your site automatically creating a post with an affiliate link and a picture.

James you mentioned some excellent tools for scoping out keywords. However, I see no mention of Micro Niche Finder. It’s essentially the Google keyword tool in a fancy interface at first glance, but it gives you some additional functionality that you won’t find in these other tools. One, you get the exact domain name feature that will search whether or not the domain is available for a specific keyword. You can also filter your searches based on competition parameters, etc.

I had read many blogs regarding keyword research but still not getting clear idea about that. But your blog really gives me a idea of researching keywords with tools. I think the best keywords can be selected using Google analytics, because it shows by which keyword people reach us.

As always, great advice. I used to use the free wordtracker tool a lot (before I got market Samurai – which is AMAZING by the way). I use keyword tools a lot when im thinking of new blog posts for my websites. Its amazing how much more traffic you can get just through writing about long tail terms which have low competition levels.

Taking time to research the words people actually type to find websites, is incredibly important. However, I find that for a lot of young SEOs, keyword research is often overlooked or rushed. I use a number of keyword tools, including Market Samuri, to take out the guess work and make certain I am targeting the appropriate key phrases.
