How to use search engine keyword tools to improve web site traffic is a tutorial to help you get more visitors to your web site using keywords and keyword software to determine the best keywords for your blog posts and articles. I was going to originally call the article “Do Keyword Research in 3 Easy Steps”. After you read the article you will see why I changed it to “Search Engine Keyword Tools to Improve Web Site Traffic”
Start your keyword research at the free wordtracker keyword tool. This will give you an idea of the daily search volume for your niche keyword. Once you find a good keyword phrase that you like, copy and paste that keyword phrase into the search box and search again to see what other phrases people search for. Once you find good keyword phrases, go to Market Samurai to get the detailed information about the keyword phrase you are researching. Market Samurai will provide all the additional information you need to validate your keyword as the correct one to use. Market Samurai provides related keywords to consider and the trends for those keywords as well as the a magnitude of information to help you decide if you have chosen the correct keyword. One thing that is really important for your keyword is the CPI index because it determines the commercial viability for the keyword. Some keywords like “free” do not have a good CPI because generally we are looking for keywords that result in people paying money when they find what they are looking for. Market Samurai pulls information from Google, Microsoft and other search engines and databases to provide all the data in one concise place and saves you time. Some of the information Market Samurai provides is available if you go to many places on the internet and do the research on each site, yet it takes a lot of time and energy. If you do not have Market Samurai yet, you can check at the Google free keyword tool to see the trends for your keyword and to get synonyms for the keywords you are considering. Market Samurai will provide a lot more information for you. If you do not have Market Samurai Keyword, SEO, Google Ad creator software, Google free keyword tool will help you with your keyword research.
Good keywords will bring traffic to your site or article and if you write a compelling content article or post, the people that find the article will be interested in learning more about you or what you have to offer them.
It is not necessary to get super high volume keywords with a lot of competition. Even if the keyword you choose has 21 searches a day, when you multiply it out by 365 days in a year it is approximately 7,665 searches a year.
Combining keywords is also a great strategy. In the article “Free Anti Virus Program”
talking about “Microsoft Security essentials”. The keyword “antivirus” gets 889 searches a day, “Free anti virus program” gets 145 searches a day. This article is not about getting money, instead it is just providing valuable information to my readers so using the word free was not a concern.
For this article, Market Samurai provided the detailed keyword information, “keyword tool” has 14,795 searches, good up trend in volume of searches, a SEO value of $15,286.19 (The total value of traffic that a web-site that ranked #1 for a keyword in Google) “keyword search tool” has 891 searches, a bit of a drop off of the trending, cost per click of $4.38 and about 3 clicks a day for the number one spot if doing PPC and a SEO value of $1,639.08.
“Search keywords” gets 2,433 searches a day, 1,021 possible clicks from SEO if a number one ranked site, good solid flat trend, a SEO value of $3,004.27 and you may find that it was used it as the article title. Now let’s look to add another keyword phrase to the title. The only thing is that keyword gets more searches that keywords.
“Keyword research” gets 5,425 searches, not trending very well, yet has a SEO value of $5,992.46.
“Keyword tools” has a high click through rate of 2.95%, good trend, SEO value of $1,298.35, 1,627 searches a day, SEO traffic of 683 a day and a total value of traffic from adwords of $91.20 for the #1 ranked Google Adwords advertiser. “Internet Keyword” Has 266 searches a day so “Internet Keyword Tools” could be a article title and both keywords are in the title “Internet Keywords” and “Keyword Tools”.
I would like people reading this article to get the free trial of Market Samurai so adding Keyword Software may help draw the correct people to read this article since Market Samurai is a powerful keyword tool that generates keywords, provides all the details to compare keywords and get the commercial viability of the keywords along with a lot of other cool things like write google keyword rich ads for you. Here are a couple of ideas for the article title:
“Keyword Software and Keyword Tools to increase your web site traffic”.
“Search Engine Keyword Tools to improve web site traffic”
Search Engine Keyword has 2,433 searches a day, Keyword tools has 1,627 searches a day, “increase web site traffic” has 92 searches a day. “increase website traffic” only has 53 searches a day so web site is better than website. web site traffic has 178 searches a day.
“Search engine keyword tools to improve web site traffic” has 4 keyword phrases with a combined search of 2,433 + 1,627 + 92 + 178 = 4,330 total searches combined.
This is highly competitive and sometimes it is better to go for the lower volume search phrases and dominate the results on the long tail keyword rather than go for the high volume keywords with a lot of competition. This will give you an idea of the way to think about keywords and how you can combine them. You also see the power of using a tool like Market Samurai to get the real inside information about the keywords instead of just rely on the search volume a
nd free keyword tools. Market Samurai offers a free trail and if you decide to buy it you only pay once and there is no recurring charges. It is also low priced compared to the other keyword tools I have evaluated. I will get a small commission if you buy from the link in this article and that is how I pay the bills. Hopefully you received valuable information in this article and will try Market Samurai by clicking here now.
Inside your article be sure to repeat the keyword right away in the first sentence and then use it again once in the article or add a few other keyword combination’s that relate to the topic that you have found in your research. I always go to Market Samurai to finalize my keyword research to find out the value of SEO for the keyword, the cost per click people are paying for the keywords in ads, the trend lines for the keywords and also to get additional keywords that are related to add into the article or blog post.

YES, those long tail keywords are critical and I have found when ranking for those the short terms most of the time get taken care of as well and over time you are rocking it.

The long tail keywords are very profitable on long term. Another website with keyword suggestions is: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/
It provides results from 6-7 sources in the same time.

Hey Clay, I’m personally a big fan of Market Samurai, I think its far better than its nearest rival. For people who don’t want to pay however, I think keyword discovery could be pretty useful…I use it sometimes for performing quick searches.

I would also suggest using words misspellings this could also generate some traffic to your website.
Hey Michael,
Great point, I did not include that aspect in the article. Thank you for bringing it up here for my readers.
Misspellings are especially great for words that many people have trouble spelling.
I am educated with a college degree and still misspell words all the time. Thank goodness for spell check in Firefox or I would really be in trouble.
choosing the right keyword is really critical to improve our websites traffic and visibility on search engines, I do think it is better to optimize for long tail keywords because of less competition.

Yes, Market Samurai is excellent.
I think the best compliment I can give Market Samurai is that while I already get great value from it I know there are features I am not using yet, so the experience can only get better. :)
Hi Des,
Nice to meet you on Twitter.
I agree with you and there are many aspects of Market Samurai I have not used yet.
I just found the publish content feature and it works great.
I do need to study up to maximize the benefits of Market Samurai. I enjoy the videos market Samurai publishes and learn something every time I watch one.
Taking time to research the words people actually type to find websites, is incredibly important. However, I find that for a lot of young SEOs, keyword research is often overlooked or rushed. I use a number of keyword tools, including Market Samuri, to take out the guess work and make certain I am targeting the appropriate key phrases.
Hi Clay,
As always, great advice. I used to use the free wordtracker tool a lot (before I got market Samurai – which is AMAZING by the way). I use keyword tools a lot when im thinking of new blog posts for my websites. Its amazing how much more traffic you can get just through writing about long tail terms which have low competition levels.

Hi Kim,
Thank you for stopping by again. I agree that the free wordtracker tool is pretty good and easy to use. I found also found that when I started to use Market Samurai, I was able to narrow in on better long tail keywords and get more traffic coming to read the article. It does put on some pressure on us to have great articles to please all the new visitors.
I had read many blogs regarding keyword research but still not getting clear idea about that. But your blog really gives me a idea of researching keywords with tools. I think the best keywords can be selected using Google analytics, because it shows by which keyword people reach us.
I really enjoy Google keyword tool also because of the trends and all the other great information provided. What I especially like in Market Samurai is that it pulls information from Google keyword tool and other sources on the internet all in one place. It is not necessary, it just saves time. I also like the ability with Market Samurai to automatically find affiliate products to post automatically on your blog. You can see an example over at my laptop comparison site I am able to create blog posts in market Samurai and it will FTP to your site automatically creating a post with an affiliate link and a picture.
James you mentioned some excellent tools for scoping out keywords. However, I see no mention of Micro Niche Finder. It’s essentially the Google keyword tool in a fancy interface at first glance, but it gives you some additional functionality that you won’t find in these other tools. One, you get the exact domain name feature that will search whether or not the domain is available for a specific keyword. You can also filter your searches based on competition parameters, etc.

To my mind, Google Keword generator is definitely the best keyword tool, the only one that let you discover niche keywords.
choosing proper and right keyword is essential for search engine and also for Multiply your traffic, improve your quality scores, and exploit your competitors’ every move.If you are serious about search engine optimization, then Wordtracker is an essential investment, a must have resource for any search engine marketing professional. It combines both a respectable search term database with tools that make mining the information easy
Keyword research, analysis and selection is a gigantic task in search engine optimization. Good keywords bring quality traffic from search engines. Keyword suggestion tools helps to select a good keywords for website.
well i hav always thought do keywords matter?
but seeing your post i will update my header with keywords.
thx
Hello nice post,
Keywords are so important in search engines. Because good keywords will bring traffic to your site or article.Because of that people find the article will be interested, and they want to see more about you.
Thanks!
Keyword is a very important thing for SEO and it really helps in getting traffic for your website and I use a free softwear and it works great for me.
Find a good keyword phrase is important !Can’t say any words, glad to read your blog !
Hi Clay Franklin,
thank you for the nice post. I’m using the google keyword tool to determine the right keywords for my homepage. Its a nice and easy to use tool :)
Every seo is know the importance of keyword in website promotion. Wrong keyword selection can ruin your all time, money and labour. I am using the Google Insights for Search for keyword research is very good and giving genuine results. Yes, your post is also covering all the related information about keyword research.
Thanks
It’s always important to analyze keywords with search volume and also a competition. I have just used Google’s keyword tool and command allintitle in Google’s search query field like allintitle:los angeles car rental. That query shows how many web page uses this keyword term in title tag.
A good keyword helps a lot! That is why is good to have a nice keyword for your websites!
Choosing the correct keyword is important. It would suck to promote a keyword that does not have alot of searches
you mentioned some excellent tools for scoping out keywords. However, I see no mention of Micro Niche Finder. I never tried that tool. I do use the SEO quake plug in for Firefox so I can analyze sites I am visiting.
Good tips on ranking for keywords. I faithfully use Wordtracker’s keyword tool.
You may want to edit the formatting of this post. ;-)
I still use Keyword tracker periodically for research. I find I use Google or Market Samurai more often because I like to see the trends, SEO value of the keywords and the competition. You and CoachDeb both have told me to reformat this post. It has a lot of words without bolding or breaking it up to make it easier to read. Thank you for the tip Rose and for stopping by from Twitter. I love you Tweets.
well there are many ways to improve the site traffic. but thanks for suggestions.
Great information. It’s nice to see that people still take the time to write about fields that they are interested in and have knowledge about to help people in learning more about this subject!
Thank you Brandon. I have been updating my studies since all this new technology stuff was not taught when I was getting my BS in marketing a long time ago. I have actually been posting a lot of my homework for my classes since it requires so much research and understanding. This way I get to share it with my site visitors.
Market Samurai makes things easier. I tried an evalution copy and maybe buy the full version soon. The great software.
thanks for sharing the steps to us..
for a newbie like me, it’s so useful…
thanks a lot again…
I feel like Google’s keyword research tool does everything I need. What does this do that Google doesn’t?
I don’t know market Samourai, i only use Google Keyword generator wich helps me a lot everyday. But you have to choose “Exact” keywords in order to have realistic results.
Nice and a wonderful blog. How to gain more and more traffic to your website. But basically i don’t know the Market Samurai keyword tool, generally using Google Keyword tool to gain traffic to website.
These tools you have mentioned here are all very useful . Getting the correct key words can at times be challenging but these tools make work a lot more easier for website owners.
It seems like a lot of people are using Market Samurai. It must be a good product. I’ve tried different keyword tools. How come they sometimes have different results?
