I have been reading about Internet Riches since around 1994. Business.com had just sold for a bunch of money. I signed up to receive emails from Chris Carpenter and Tim Knox and they started telling me about cool products to get rich on line. I got the bug way back then. I was too cheap to spend the money to buy the ebook. If I bought the book for $67 or $97 or both way back then, I may be writing this from a vacation paradise now. It was not untill I was laid off and started listening to Rich Scheferen and Jay Abraham that I finally “Made Up My Mind” to GO FOR IT and see if I could really build my own Internet business from scratch!!! 14 years later….
I started working on my new Internet Marketing business on February 20th 2008.
I have still not made a dime online, I have spent money on tools, equipment, training.
I have invested at least 33 hours a week on research and learning.
I am over 330 hours total so far.
Still no revenue Ugh!
I must admit I have been distracted a lot with Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Blogroll, Memeo, Yonoo, my little Min Pin Puppies and just about anything distracted me from my success.
I was listening to my Mentors on a call the other night. I think it was Jay who said to tell yourself with certainty “I deserve to be successful, I am entitled to be successsful”. It moved me. No more distractions, no more “ugh excuses …”, I am focusing and making traction. I finally am learning wordpress (after years of desiring to do it…). I was on a call with another mentor this week and Tellman suggested I set my timer for an hour. Do not get distracted during this hour. Man oh Man this worked Incredibly well. I have a timer running right now. I was on a call with another mentor last week and I learned the importance of the email and shopping cart programs and how they can make or break the business. I am also on another teleseminar series that hosted Joe Sugarman last week. He had fantastic ideas – all for free. I even ordered his book for $13 from Amazon.
NOTE: increase minutes before going over for teleconferences. I had 450 minutes when I called and my limit was 450 minutes…I increased it to 900 a month due to all the great information I am getting on teleseminars.
My pledge to my self:
I am committing to limiting the time I spend with my email and social networking programs open.
I am committing to set the timer and stay focused for hours at a time.
I will sell off my stuff if needed to continue on my path of having my own Internet Business.
I will read and study and Implement all the material I have from Gurus and work on it until I know it well enough to teach it to someone else from memory.
And I will work on my business 90%+ and this blog 10% or less.
I have it in my head that I am a successful Internet Marketer and no matter what anyone says that is how I think. I have visualized the future I desire, and I am basically working backwards from the end point to figure how to get there.
I could never do it by myself so I suggest you get help if you are struggling.
