The free beta version is no longer available but watch out within a year or so Windows will have a free beta of the new version of windows.

I feel better by using Windows 7 instead of Vista and really it works very good and fast. I been glad to know that I can get Beta version free. Thanks for nice notifying concerning beta version.

I have yet to download this but will do. I have heard many good things about it. Very good advice to back up your hard drive before uploading. I have had problems in the past when I haven’t done this.

It’s funny how MS Windows always has a mistake edition and then comes out with a real OS afterwords, seeing a pattern yet? Thanks for the update Clay, I’ll have to try this version on another computer. I’m presently still attached to my XP system as I find that it gives me more control over various Power User Settings, but we’ll see what Windows 7 has to offer.

I am a little behind as this is a 2009 post and honestly, I am still using XP. The new features look cool, but I don’t really have the cpu currently to handle the newer OS.

Don’t shoot me but I’m a Mac fan. I had enormous problems running Vista with crackling audio, blue screens and crashing. Windows 7 now runs faultlessly, is faster and even keeps me from booting back into OSX occasionally (only occasionally), but Windows 7 is a damn fine OS.

They had the family pack when Windows 7 originally came out to the retail stores. At the same time they indicated it was a limited time offer. It provided 3 Home Premium upgrade licenses.

guess windows 7 will be next top choice windows OS.
I am currently using it on my netbook. I must say that its fast and very good on resources management. much more better than windows vista on performance.
