Microsoft Windows 7 RC free download for everyone

Microsoft Windows 7 RC Download Now Available For Everyone!

Take advantage of Microsoft’s Windows – 7 Release Candidate Free Download.  It is a release candidate and not the full retail version without a single bug, yet from what I hear, it Rocks compared to Vista or XP.  Doors open at midnight May 4th.  You will have access to the software until June 1st, 2010, when a fresh install will be required and reload software.  The free Microsoft Windows 7 RC download for everyone will end abruptly in July.  The retail launch of Windows 7 is expected October 23rd 2009 when it will sell for full price.  Windows 7 runs faster than Windows Vista and has additional features like full screen preview window for taskbar items.  If you missed out on the beta version of Windows 7, now is your chance to get a free copy of the newest PC operating system.  Let us know what you think after you try it for a while.  Microsoft’s Windows 7 free download page Check it out!

P.S.  It is a good idea to have a back up of your hard drive and especially before upgrading your computer.  I use a local backup and a offsite back up for all my files.  You can get your files backed up off site with a free trial and feel better in case of theft or fire.

This is a great find. I really like the way Windows 7 runs compared to Vista.

Windows Vista = Modern Windows ME (Mistake Edition)
Windows 7 = Modern Windows XP

Here is my benchmarked view about Windows XP, Vista and 7

Windows XP Pro SP3, Install, right off the bat, consuming 89MB of RAM for the OS with no other programs running.

Windows Vista, Install, right off the bat, consuming 800MB of RAM! for the OS with no other programs running.

Windows 7 Final, Install, right off the bat, consuming 222 MB of RAM, for the OS with no other programs running.

I guess Microsoft made a huge improvement in the system resources needed for Windows 7 after its fatal mistake with Windows Vista! But I will continue running windows XP as all of my programs runs perfectly fine under it and I have no genuine excuse to upgrade. I am a minimalist that I have “nLited” my installation of Windows XP and when I did that installation my nLited XP was consuming 43 MB of RAM for nLited XP just to run with no other programs running, no other Operating System-of-the-NOW can beat that! I am currently waiting for a vLite version tailored for Windows 7 so I can do a redo of performance after removing the “fat” out of Windows 7, but until then, I will just leave the case open and continue my normal activities under Windows XP.
Thank you!

I took advantage of it and made the mistake of purchasing the retail. why must it have more bugs than beta?

guess windows 7 will be next top choice windows OS.
I am currently using it on my netbook. I must say that its fast and very good on resources management. much more better than windows vista on performance.

They had the family pack when Windows 7 originally came out to the retail stores. At the same time they indicated it was a limited time offer. It provided 3 Home Premium upgrade licenses.

Don’t shoot me but I’m a Mac fan. I had enormous problems running Vista with crackling audio, blue screens and crashing. Windows 7 now runs faultlessly, is faster and even keeps me from booting back into OSX occasionally (only occasionally), but Windows 7 is a damn fine OS.

I am a little behind as this is a 2009 post and honestly, I am still using XP. The new features look cool, but I don’t really have the cpu currently to handle the newer OS.

It’s funny how MS Windows always has a mistake edition and then comes out with a real OS afterwords, seeing a pattern yet? Thanks for the update Clay, I’ll have to try this version on another computer. I’m presently still attached to my XP system as I find that it gives me more control over various Power User Settings, but we’ll see what Windows 7 has to offer.

I have yet to download this but will do. I have heard many good things about it. Very good advice to back up your hard drive before uploading. I have had problems in the past when I haven’t done this.
