- Set passwords that that are easy to remember like “Il2gcitm” “I love to get checks in the mail”
- Buy a standard address book and use it just for passwords.
- Just use 2 to 4 different passwords at a time assigned by category like banking, newsletters, web 2.0 sites
- Use 8 characters minimum. 14 is not too many.
- Use special characters when it is easy to remember. Like “$” for “S” or “!” for “1″
- Get a secure password management tool that automatically logs you into all of your password protected sites automatically.
Protecting your passwords is very important. It is best if you remember your passwords and not write them down anywhere.
