Are you a Serial Entrepreneur or a Parallel Entrepreneur

Are you a Serial Entrepreneur? or a Parallel Entrepreneur?
Listening to Leslie Rohdes and Dan Thies yesterday over at the SEOBrainTrust Leslie mentioned that (paraphrase) if you have 200 websites you are a parallel entrepreneur and not really focused on your business in a way that will make a difference.  Leslie and Dan suggested that you have one website that you spend time on, creating great unique content and work to monetize.  Many people work on too many things at once and with 5 projects all being worked on at once the final date for each project is delayed.  If you work on one project at a time then it will be making you money while you are working on the next project.  Rich Schefren will teach you this in his coaching program or Business Growth System which I highly recommend and have taken myself.

If you spend time thinking strategically every day and for at least an hour, chances are that you will make more progress than if you do tasks all day long.  You know the saying, work on your business or work in your business.

If you want to make it big, you need to think big.  Look at what Google just came up with.  This is the revolutionary product that will have a huge impact on how people interact.  You can come up with revolutionary products too if you think strategically.

I read once that if we’d just treat our business like a ‘job’, ie focus on one thing at a time, show up daily, be strategically productive, we’d all be a lot more successful.

As a recovering Parallel Entrepreneur (aka a dabbler in lots-of-stuff-at-the-same-time) I can attest to the power of strategy and working ON your business as often as ON it.

Thanks for the confirmation, sir Clay.

Thank you for stopping by Jacqueline. I myself am a recovering parallel entrepreneur. I have been better about taking time to think about my business instead of just staying busy often with lower priority “C” items and continuously adding things to the parallel activities. We should compare notes at the end of the year to see how we did compared to last year.
